JO FROST

Jo Frost was catapulted to international fame when she became the star of a new reality show, “Supernanny.” She won the role over hundreds of other applicants when television producers were struck by her outstanding childcare skills, her sincerity and candid style that now help her to transform families and instill positive, lasting results. She debuted in the UK in the summer of 2004 with just three episodes, and became an overnight sensation, garnering widespread popularity and acclaim. She made “Naughty Step” and “Your behavior is very naughty!” national catchphrases, and got a rave in the House of Commons on a discussion about preventing the causes of anti-social behavior.

When the U.S. version of her show debuted in January 2005, it became an instant ratings hit, and Jo won national praise from TV critics and columnists, including Newsweek and The New York Times, among many others. “Supernanny” now airs in over 172 territories, almost all of them with Jo Frost as Supernanny. She has appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Live with Regis & Kelly,” “The View,” “Good Morning America,” “20/20,” “Rachael Ray,” “Ellen,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” as well as on many other major national television and radio programs.

She is the author of three books, the most recent one Jo Frost’s Confident Baby Care. Premiering in February of 2010, Jo Executive-produce and stars in: “Extreme Parental Guidance (EPG)”, a six-part series that garnered overnight critical and ratings acclaim. Airing on the UK’s Channel 4 Network, cameras follow Jo on her trek across the UK, examining the spectrum of issues children and families face in the 21st century. Each episode features a real-life “experiment” in which the issues at hand are examined formally in a closed environment.

Jo says that children have been a big part of her life from the beginning. She’s always had a natural gift for connecting with kids on their own level, and for connecting both parent and child organically. She began babysitting as a teenager and, after college, embarked on nannying as a career. With over 20 years in childcare, she has honed her successful methods of child- rearing with hands-on, real-life experience. She has encouraged and helped parents with all different child-rearing challenges -- from potty training and sibling rivalry to sleep concerns and tantrums -- and continues to place practical solutions into homes, whether problems are extreme or everyday challenges. She has worked over the years in temporary, long-term and trouble- shooting jobs, and is known and respected by many celebrities who themselves have families and value her integrity.

In addition to numerous awards in the UK, Jo and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award, and in 2006 she received an International Emmy Award nomination. Jo actively gives her time to numerous non-profit charities, helping to raise money and to advocate for those in need on both sides of the Atlantic. Jo’s experience as TV’s leading Professional Nanny has brought her lasting recognition as the country’s foremost Parenting Expert and Family Advocate.
