After quite a long winter all over the northern parts of the equator, we hope everyone is starting to see a few signs of spring. A little greenery (or simply a few days without snow or rain will do for some of us!) As you may or may not know, March 14th was Mother's Day in the UK and Ireland. I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of our mums there. I hope you had a wonderful day and did things that truly made you happy – or perhaps you did nothing at all, in which case, well done!
In this issue of the newsletter, you'll notice a few changes. Instead of the three burning questions, I'm going to choose a topic each month and write about it in JO FROST'S EDITORIAL. The topic will be chosen based on either the most popular posts (or post topic) on the website or from conversations I've had with recent SUPERNANNY families or even chats with mums and dads on the street. The topic inspiration will come from anywhere and everywhere. Never fear though, we'll still choose one Burning Question from the forums to answer each month! ON THE AISLE and THE READING ROOM are the new names for the Movie Screen and Library Corner, respectively. Occasionally, we'll also add THE LISTENING BOOTH to cover music for kids. The Bulletin Board is now THE CHIN-WAG (a slang term in the UK, to “have a chin-wag” means a chit-chat, gabfest, or other informal conversation). As our babies of The Baby Diaries are now nearly toddlers, we looked to another English colloquialism for a name to grow with them, thus LITTLE NIPPERS (a term of endearment, meaning a “little kid”) felt apropos. Lastly, my monthly dispatches, previously known as Jo's Memoirs, now boast the more apt name of NANNY TIME.
Enjoy the new editorial. We hope to introduce more changes in the coming months, but for now it's baby steps.
